Mrs. Gracie Kathleen Scheutt of Bow Island, beloved wife of the late Mr. Sebastian "Sam' Scheutt, passed away at the Bow Island Health Center on Friday, September 17, 2004 at the age of 83 years. The Funeral Service will be held at the Bow Island Community Bible Church, 201, 706 Centre Street on Thursday, September 23, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Dye officiating. Interment will follow at the Bow island Cemetery.

JOSEPH SOLESKI
1916 - 2004
Joe Soleski, beloved husband of the late Ann Soleski, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at the age of 88 years. He leaves to cherish his memory three children: daughter, Doreen (Ron) Dinelle from Houston, B.C. and their children Derek, Blair, and Pat; son, Martin (Deanna) Soleski from Kindersley, Sask. and their children Ashley and Aaron; daughter, Jeanette (Rob) Macaulay from Medicine Hat and their children Joel (Jodi) Macaulay, and Jodie Macaulay. Joe is also survived by one sister, Mary Filyk. He was predeceased by one granddaughter, Andrea Dinelle; his father and mother, Michael and Tillie Soleski as well as three brothers, Carl, Frank and Harry. Joe was born on April 9, 1916 in Kindersley, Saskatchewan. He married Ann on July 12, 1952. They farmed in the Glidden area up until 1985 when they retired to Medicine Hat. He loved his farming and brought his farming characteristics with him. He loved to tinker with almost anything as well as carpentry. He loved playing cards, visiting and traveling. Trips included Great Falls, Hawaii, Vegas, Havre and Spokane. He enjoyed watching his son and grandsons play sports, and granddaughters sing, dance and play piano. Dad was a very quiet, patient, caring and loving man. He was fondly known by many as "Smiley Joe" or "Mister Pister". Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, November 19, 2004, between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. as well as one hour prior to the funeral service. The Funeral Service will be held in the Wuerfel Auditorium at South Country Village, 1720 Bell Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Saturday, November 20, 2004, at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Bob Findley officiating, and interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation, 124, 430 - 6 Avenue S.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 2S8.
