DOROTHY MCFARLANE
1918 - 2010
 Dorothy G. McFarlane passed away peacefully at the George Boyak Nursing Home in Calgary on Sunday, July 25, 2010, at the age of 92 years. She leaves to cherish her memory: one sister, Nellie Williamson; one nephew, David (Helen) Williamson and their three children, Michael (Marnie), JenniferJo (Bret) Kennedy and Robert (Collette); one niece, Karen Anderson and her two children, Kim (Cam)
Simpson and Kari (Jim) Matsalla. Dorothy is also survived by her special friends, Dr’s Susannah and George Kurian. She was predeceased by her first husband, Harry McFarlane; second husband, Stanley Dowhan; parents, John and Reba Orser; niece, Jeanie Williamson as well as her great-nephew, Travis Yanke. A Graveside Service will be held at Hillside Cemetery on Friday, August 6, 2010, at 6:00 P.M. with Reverend Barrett Scheske officiating. Those wishing to attend the Graveside Service should gather at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday between 5:30 P.M. and 5:45 P.M. The procession will leave for Graveside at 5:55 P.M. Family
wish to extend their appreciation to Dorothy’s companion, Ann Herdman, and the staff at the George Boyak Nursing Home for their tireless care and support. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
