EMMA DUXBURY
Dec. 21, 1915 - Dec. 21, 2006
It is with sadness that the family of Miss Emma Duxbury, an unclaimed treasure as she jokingly referred to herself, announces her passing at the age of 91 years. Emma's career encompassed working at both Medalta Potteries and the CPR from which she retired. Emma's interests over the years included helping her friend, Charlie Gower, with his quality testing of linseed oil, operating a ham radio and maintaining her frugal ways. Her family and friends appreciated Emma for her sharp sense of humour. She was predeceased by her beloved brothers, Frank and Bill. Emma is survived by both sisters-in-law, Mollie and Margaret. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Darlene, Glen (Carol), Dave (Linda), Ken (Lori), Mary Hogan (Lonnie) and Wayne (Sheila). In accordance to Emma's wishes, a memorial service in her honour will be held at a later date. Emma's family wishes to thank the many staff and volunteers at Valleyview for the care and attention she received. We would also like to thank Dr. McClelland, Dr. Jeraj and their staff for the care she received from them.
