CARL DOUGLAS
PEARSON
July 19, 1962 - May 16, 2008

Carl was born in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan on July 19,
1962. He left us on May 16, 2008, at the age of 45
years.
Carl is survived by his parents, Douglas and Velma
Pearson, of Medicine Hat, brother Brian (Jackie) and
their children Lee and Maria (Godchild) of Edmonton,
sister Kathy Puto (Dallas) and son Luke (Godchild), of
Red Deer, stepsons Matthew and Adam Richardson and their
mother, Michelle Burke, special friend Sandra (Sam)
Kolman and her children, Harmonie and Devon Wenaas as
well as many aunts, cousins and friends. Carl took all
of his schooling in Mankota, Sask. After graduation,
Carl moved to Moose Jaw to study his passion, carpentry,
at SIAST. Upon completion of his studies, he worked in
the Oil and Gas industry in various regions of Alberta.
In 1990, Carl moved to Medicine Hat, where he used his
significant carpentry skills at many locales, and worked
extensively in the garage door industry, installing both
residential and industrial doors throughout south
eastern Alberta. In recent years, Carl worked for
Gyp-Tec Drywall, where he was Shop Foreman, until the
time of his passing. Carl will be remembered for many
things, both in words and deeds, and in his handy work.
Probably Carl will be best remembered for his ability to
befriend people without judgment or conditions. Carl
drank many a coffee, drained countless cell phone
batteries and most recently, got sore thumbs from the
many text messages sent and received. As technology
changed, so did Carl, using what was available to help
out others and listen to their problems and their needs.
Though Carl lived in the city, he was always a farm boy,
with morals and values rooted deeply in the soil of
south western Saskatchewan. Whenever time and trade
allowed, he would seek the solace of the outdoors, where
he was best able to find all that a busy life sometimes
does not allow.
The Celebration of Carl’s life will be held at
Westminster United Church, 101 - 6 Street S.E., Medicine
Hat, on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at 2:00 P.M. with
Reverend James Farrell officiating. Interment will take

leisurely walks. He was a humorous character that
made people laugh and enjoyed the company of others.
He especially liked the company of his family...because
he loved them all. He held a special place in his
heart for his granddaughters. With the qualities
of being caring, loving and generous he had many
achievements but his greatest was his wife and two
children. His legacy has been left to carry on and

Ross Poole loved his family & home!
Last Thursday, a peaceful calm fell upon the Burdett
Cemetery as family and close friends privately came
together to say good-bye to Ross Poole. As Rev.
McMillan spoke, the sun reached down and kissed the
picture of Ross, while the chirping birds perched in
tree tops, filled the air with hope and tranquility.
Pictured in the memorial card was the home that Ross
built with his hands... a legacy that will proudly
remain as a solid foundation to a strong family.
Elvis sang "Bridge Over Troubled Water"... A perfect
farewell to a husband & father
Ross would have liked that.
